FRANKFURT (AFX) - German labour office president Bernhard Jagoda played down the significance of a fall in August adjusted unemployment from July, saying it was due to the early end to the summer holidays in some east German states. Jagoda added the the economic slowdown in Germany continues to have a negative effect on the labour market. August adjusted jobless had fallen by 2,000 from July, the first fall this year.
