TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - The Bank of Japan said it had allowed commercial current accounts with itto rise to 12.8 trln yen. "We are maintaining a very high current account level, it is our target," Bank of Japan spokesman Satoru Yamadera said. The increase from yesterday is 1.9 trln yen, the biggest one day increase since the central bank adopted its policy of quantitative easing in March, he said. "We are using any funds, including intervention, to maintain this very high current account level," Yamadera said.
